How Aetheria Prevents Stock Overselling
Aetheria treats inventory movement as an immutable double-entry ledger, recording debit and credit balances for every stock transition. Concurrency control utilizes PostgreSQL pessimistic locking (SELECT ... FOR UPDATE), guaranteeing that simultaneous high-volume purchase attempts on the last remaining stock item resolve without overselling or inventory balance corruption.
In Aetheria, stock never simply decreases. An item is credited from Source Bin `WH-01-A-12` and debited into Transit Escrow `TR-RESERVED-904` upon customer cart commitment with atomic transaction rollback safety.
